Kinmeadow Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated 12 September 2026. Version 1.3.

Kinmeadow is a shared space for a household. Most of what is in this policy will be obvious. It exists so that everyone knows where the lines are, and so that we can act when somebody crosses one.

This policy applies to everyone in a family group, including teen accounts. It forms part of our Terms of Service.

The Meadow (the Kinmeadow assistant) has its own rules, in our Assistant Acceptable Use Policy. Everything in this policy applies to the Assistant as well, including asking it to produce something prohibited here.

What you must not do

Break the law. Do not use Kinmeadow for anything illegal, or to plan, encourage or help with anything illegal.

Harm anybody. Do not use Kinmeadow to bully, harass, threaten, intimidate or stalk anyone, inside your family group or outside it. Do not share content designed to humiliate somebody.

Harm a child. Do not upload, share or request sexual content involving anyone under 18, in any form, ever. Do not use Kinmeadow to groom, exploit or endanger a child. We report this kind of content to the police and to the relevant authorities, and we close the account immediately and permanently.

Share things that are not yours to share. Do not upload content that infringes somebody else's copyright, trade marks or other rights. Do not share other people's private information without their permission, including photographs of people who have not agreed to be photographed.

Share content that does not belong here. No pornography, no graphic violence, no content promoting terrorism or violent extremism, no content promoting suicide, self-harm or eating disorders, no hate speech targeting people for who they are.

Misuse other people's accounts. Do not pretend to be somebody else. Do not use another family member's login. Do not add somebody to a family group who has not agreed to be there.

Use it for business. Kinmeadow is for households. Do not use it to advertise, to sell things, to send spam, or to run a commercial operation.

Attack the service. Do not try to break into our systems or anyone's account, introduce malware, scrape our service with bots or scripts, get round our security or rate limits, reverse engineer the app, or overload the service deliberately.

Automate it. Do not use bots, scrapers or automated tools with Kinmeadow without our written permission.

What we ask of you

Think before you share. Everything you put into a family group is visible to that family group. Family members can see each other's contributions, and adults can see what teen accounts have shared. This is not a private space and it is not encrypted end to end.

Look after the people in your group. If you are the account owner, you decide who is in it and what child profiles and teen accounts can do. Take that seriously.

Keep it accurate. Do not put deliberately false information into a shared calendar or record that other people are relying on.

Reporting something

If you see something in Kinmeadow that breaks this policy, report it.

  • In the app: use the report option on any message, photo or list item.
  • By email: support@your-family.app, telling us what you saw and where.

We aim to acknowledge a report within [1 working day] and to act on it within [5 working days]. Reports involving a risk to a child are looked at immediately.

If you believe a child is in immediate danger, do not wait for us. In the UK, call 999. You can also contact the NSPCC on 0808 800 5000 or report to the CEOP Safety Centre at ceop.police.uk.

What we do about breaches

Depending on what has happened, we may:

  • remove the content
  • warn the account holder
  • limit what an account can do
  • suspend an account
  • close an account and the family group permanently
  • report the matter to the police or another authority

We will usually tell you what we have done and why, and give you a way to challenge it, by emailing notices@your-family.app. We may not be able to give you full details where doing so would compromise an investigation or somebody's safety.

Where the breach is serious, particularly anything involving a child, we act first and explain afterwards.

Appealing a decision

If we have removed content or restricted your account and you think we got it wrong, email notices@your-family.app with the word "Appeal" in the subject line. Someone who was not involved in the original decision will look at it, and we will reply within [10 working days].

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service changes or as we learn what is needed. If we make a material change we will tell you by email and in the app. The date at the top always shows when it last changed.
